on Agribiotechnology
The Four working groups met on April 9th
& 10th to discuss the interim draft of the strategic research
plans. The next meeting is proposed in Delhi with DBT and
Research Institutions for further refinement.

First Meeting for Industry Platform on
Agribiotechnology was held on 9 January 2009 in Hyderabad.
Four working groups have been created to formulate the strategic
research plan, which are:
- Biotic Stress
- Abiotic Stress
- Infrastructure Requirement
- Seed Production

First Meeting for Industry Platform
on Biopharmaceuticals held on March 4, 2009 in Delhi
First Meeting for Industry Platform on Biopharmaceuticals
was held on 4 March, 2009 in Delhi. Six working groups have
been created under the platform, which are:
- Cell Lines
- Animal Models
- Clinical Trial Site Development
- Biosimilars
- Stem Cells Therapy
- New Drug Delivery System

Organisation Structure
The Platforms will have one Governing Board,
chaired by Secretary-DBT, for policy, guidance and final approvals
of all proposals.
A dedicated expert, with the support of FICCI,
will support each platform and will interface with the Industry
and follow up on ideas to fructify them into projects.
